What "Jesus" looked like

Zeus (Hey Zeus) Jesus could they be the same image?

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
and mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
a life of joy and peace.

When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

This is one of my all time favourate song. :)
There are many ways people have thought how HaShem (The Name) is pronounced, but since man-made traditions have been allowed to rule in our observance of the Scriptures YHVH knew, even in the time of Jeremiah, that such ways would “cause my people to forget my name”. As I continue to study the Scriptures I find that knowing his name, even if you don’t pronounce it right, is very important and will play a huge role in identifying with the Elohim [God] of Israel upon Yeshua ‘s [Jesus] return.

While disagreements may be about how to pronounce HaShem we do know the letters of his name: יהוה These letters should be one of the most beautiful things for your eyes to behold. These are the letters in your Creator’s name, our Heavenly Father, who sent his only Son to deliver us from the eternal death we all should face. Even when you read the Messiah’s name יהושה you see Yah’s name, since Yeshua means ‘Yah Saves’.

I am just completely astounded at how YHVH painted his masterpiece, and how we are so very ignorant, even the wisest, of his radiance. We truly have been “And Elohim said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…” {Genesis 1:26} The video [below] shows just one way we were made in his very image, the only image our human-eyes have beheld.

I am praising and thanking Yah today for making me in his image. We, mankind, are made in the image and radiance of Yah. We are his most treasured creation and all he does is only out of his love for us. I am blessed with such a Father, even when I don’t and can’t understand. “Blessed be YHVH, Elohim, the Elohim of Isra’el, who alone works wonders. Blessed be his glorious name forever, and may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amein. Amein.” {Psalms 72:18-19}

Barukh atah YHVH, Eloheinu, melekh ha’olam (Blessed are you, YHVH, our God, sovereign of the universe)!!!!!!! In six days you painted the face of the earth, and carved out a day when you rested from your work…. SHABBAT SHALOM!

Celebrate this set-apart day for our Elohim with me by posting a song or psalm, and do the Shabbat Shalom Praise meme.

Holy-days

Following any traditions not made by Yahveh and celebrating them as a “holy-day” is following man-made traditions/rules and mocking what is holy. We have been warned. Yahveh doesn’t want this kind of worship. It is useless to him. He wants his people to worship in him the way and on the days he set apart and appointed.

Thus by your tradition you make null and void the word of God! You hypocrites! Yesha`yahu [Isaiah] was right when he prophesied about you, `These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far away from me. 9 Their worship of me is useless, because they teach man-made rules as if they were doctrines.’”{Matthew 15:5-9}

Yahveh is the only one who can make a holy-day [read: holidays], not man, and he instructed his people in Deuteromony about adopting pagan customs to honour him.

You reject all who stray from your laws, for what they deceive themselves with is false. {Psalms 119: 118}
“Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.”
John Adams, ‘Argument in Defense of the Soldiers in the Boston Massacre Trials,’ December 1770
US diplomat & politician (1735 – 1826)

Yep facts can hurt or its something you dont want to here.

Which is which?

It is commonly known, just by physical appearance (you don’t even have to ask! hehe), that not everyone agrees with others on head-veils, but it is non-debatable in the Scriptures that it is shameful to have short hair as a woman. A woman who has short hair brings shame upon her head, both on top of her shoulders and her husband. We are told in the Scriptures that having long hair enhances one’s appearance. In most cases short hair is not considered feminine nor is it.

“For if a woman is not veiled, let her also have her hair cut short; but if it is shameful for a woman to wear her hair cut short or to have her head shaved, then let her be veiled.”
1 Corinthians 11:6

It seems now that the argument is “what is short?” as everyone has their own views points on this, but I personally don’t think it’s very difficult to decide. Even by looking at the world’s standards of long and short you can see what is so. You can flip through hair and fashion magazines to see examples of short and long hair. You can walk into a beauty-salon and say “cut it short” and they will. I see all the time ladies who chop their hair off and know it’s now considered “short”, not just shorter. Some hair may be shorter than others but when asked if this or that length is short it doesn’t take one to be a an expert on hair to know the answer.

Some people may consider short hair “not very short at all”, but that is not the question. The question is: is it long? If you have long hair you know it. Long hair is… well… long, and many times is considered to be to the shoulder blades. If women just didn’t worry about having a certain style or having to change here and there, but let their hair grow out there will be no need to debate “how long is long”. Vanity and the world’s definition of beauty and youth have caused us to worry about ‘the style and fashion’ of everything. As I wrote this I researched to see what the definition of long hair actually was, and was surprised to find that it is defined as “a style of hair that is not cut”. So if you have long hair you have hair that isn’t cut [note: not talking about trimmings].

The truth hurts

It is fact. The truth hurts. The truth that the Son of the Most High had to come and die a sinner’s death HURT, but he pushed through the AGONY and DIED.

So the truth hurts…

What are you going to do?

Call out “LEGALIST!”?

Deny it?

Ignore it?

Get mad?

At those exposing darkness with the Light?

Or…

Are you going to be one that the heaven rejoices over for coming to the the Light?

Abandon the ways of the pagans….

Come. to. the. LIGHT!

For Better or For Worse

Jack Sprat could eat no fat.
His wife could eat no lean.
And so between them both, you see,
They licked the platter clean.

Rather than being like Jack Sprat and his wife, complementing each other by differences, couples act like cats and dogs. You know like masculinity can complement femininity (or vice versa) or feminism can bite chivalry’s head off. I read a quote that said “Love is saying ‘I feel differently’ instead of ‘You’re wrong.’” How we react to conflict is the key to having a good relationship especially in a marriage, and being that perfect match. Your reaction should always be one of understanding, love, and forgiveness. Not one of combat. While this is most important in a marriage covenant it is also important in any relationship, whether it be mother-daughter, friend to friend, or husband and wife.

Through examples in Scripture we see many women whose choices were for better or for worse in the situation at hand. Some proved wise and were rewarded, while others proved foolish and brought their own ruin upon them.

FOR BETTER: Avigail, wife of Naval.

FOR WORSE: Job’s wife.

FOR BETTER: Hadassah.

FOR WORSE: Michal, wife of David.

I find it interesting that those who chose to do what was wise were the women with seemingly impossible and obnoxious men for husbands, where as those who chose to do foolishly were those married to men of the Torah. None of these women were married to the perfect men, by any means, and perhaps not even men they thought themselves to marry, but their reactions proved out the unity of the marriage, the family, and YHVH’s people.

I have expectations for the one I will call my beloved, and those expectations will be worked through at the appropriate time. Some expectations are purely a personally preference, stemmed from the person I am, while others are requirements, stemmed from Scriptural principals. I know it is unrealistic to think everything about him will be just as I thought it out to be, but knowing the type of man he is a starting point to whether I prove out to be wise or foolish in my marriage.

We know not what happened to George and Lydia Wickham, but they both proved to be foolish in their choice of a spouse and one can only imagine the kind of marriage they had thereafter. Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth Darcy, on the other hand, proved wise and had already come to an understanding on handling conflict between each other. I am also pretty sure Elizabeth learned a great deal from her own parents marriage in matters of irritating each other and loving above all.

Because I know that disagreements will arise and misunderstandings will come about, it is important, now, that I know how to handle these situations in a mature and Scriptural manner. He nor I may not be perfect (if fact I know we will not be), but it is important to remember to be perfect for each other. Complementing. Not being indifferent.

“No complement can be eloquent, except as an expression of indifference.”

“Remember that a successful marriage depends on two things: (1) finding the right person and (2) being the right person”

“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”

“Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, but do so with all your heart.”

“Waste no more time arguing about what a good [wo]man should be. Be one.”

“Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.”

“Whenever you’re in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it. That factor is attitude.”

“Teach not thy lip such scorn, for it was made For kissing, lady, not for such contempt.”

“Who is rich? He that rejoices in his portion”

“Adversity is a fact of life. It can’t be controlled. What we can control is how we react to it.”

“Love me when I least deserve it, because that’s when I really need it.”

“Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction”

“Marriage is not a noun; it’s a verb. It isn’t something you get. It’s something you do. It’s the way you love your partner every day.”

“Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.”
